Caroline Red Raspberry Plants Description

They need humidity from the start. The stalk will die and then you have a 50/50 shot of them growing from the ground. I would now cut them 1" from the soil and put something like this around them. Take the cuttings and also do the same with them all in one container. Our Youtube video shows you how to create extra plants from the cuttings. Give them two weeks with the new set up. Do not let the humidity barrier to fog up or get real wet inside. This will cook your plant. Just create bigger holes at the top until you get that balance. It has to be a big container around it. Not a 16 oz plastic bottle. I hope this helps. Just give it a couple of weeks.

Caroline Raspberry has a larger berry than Heritage and is more productive, with a rich, full, and intense raspberry flavor. The berries have good size, color and flavor. Therefore, the fruit is good for jam and freezing and is delicious for fresh use, as well. It is a very vigorous variety, with more tolerance for root rot than Heritage. The farther south you grow it, the earlier it will ripen. Caroline is widely adapted, growing everywhere from the East Coast to the West Coast. This variety does not tolerate high heat and drought well, however.

Caroline Red Raspberry grows vigorously, suckers freely, and shows tolerance to diseases. Heritage can be grown as both a floricane (summer) and primocane (fall) producer. This plant is more suited for home gardeners, pick-your-own, and local commercial sales. Heritage adds an alternative yellow variety to our program!

We recommend a soil pH level of 6.5 - 6.8 for raspberry plants.

This Fall Bearing Raspberry Plant bears some fruit the first fall of planting year, and either summers or falls after that depending on how it is managed.
